Rosario Brancato Retina Award
It is with great pleasure that we announce that the Rosario Brancato Retina Award has been renewed again this year and will be awarded during the 9th OCT & RETINA FORUM (Milan, March 13th – 14th, 2025).
Our goal is to institute an award in the field of retina to commemorate Professor Rosario Brancato, who has dedicated his entire life to the treatment of patients affected by retinal diseases, and pioneered the introduction of fluorescein angiography, OCT examinations and laser therapy.
The award will be presented to a doctor (under 45 years of age) who meets the requirements listed on the web site www.brancatoaward.eu
Congratulations!
To Elliott H. Sohn, MD for being selected to the Academy’s Leadership Development Program (LDP) XXVI, Class of 2025
Macula Society Endowment Fund

Macula Society Members in the News
The DRCR Retina Network is planning an exciting new Phase III clinical trial to prevent visual acuity loss due to radiation retinopathy (RR). Eligible participants will be randomized to receive either repeated injections of anti-VEGF, long-active steroid, or observation following treatment of choroidal melanoma with I-125 plaque brachytherapy.
Any interested physicians or clinical sites should contact drcrnet@jaeb.org to learn more about joining the Network.
